My 2 litre winter beater needs insuring from Jan 16th.  Chances are it'll be replaced during the year.

 

Are there any insurers left who don't try to take £25 off you for "administrations" (changing reg in a database)

 

?

trade policy is the only way i found to keep the costs down, you can add and remove stuff on MID as you wish for free.

 

Tradex offer an Enthusiasts policy whose only requirement is to keep a record of what you buy and sell.

Good insurers for making amendments are any provided by AXA. That includes swift cover too. They allow all changes to be made online with no administration fees. Plus you can just check the cost of things on there first before actually going through with it. Like if yo were thinking about switching cars, you can check first.
