bigstraight6
Bit of a cheek I know, but I'm experiencing a very enoying problem with our old BMW E36 where the central locking is constantly locking and unlocking while driving the car, any ideas? any advice would be much appreciated

bigstraight6
Does it have an aftermarket alarm system thingy? There is some sort of alarm thing on the bulkhead which I've never really taken much notice of as it's never worked since we've owned the car, not sure if it's a pukka BMW device or some add on job, I will have a look tomorrow and advise! pogweasel
Oh, might even be a proper BMW one, if you have a small key for it, you can turn it off. The one on mine seems to suffer regular bouts of senile dementia. The one on my old E30 did too (that one was aftermarket with anti-hijack that would occasionally exhibit the symptoms you described, but usually only after a prolonged hibernation / battery drain)
