First Middle Lane Hugger to be Executed in Public

Lane hogging seems to be a traditional English thing as it rarely happens in the rest of Europe.

The rest of Europe tends to have far better lane discipline than we do. I saw a vast amount more atrocious driving and lane hogging between Dover and London than between Dunkirk and Prague.

 

In Germany lane hogs get nicked. Rightfully so, there are people there doing a perfectly safe 150 mph who really don't expect some knobhead to sit in the wrong lane. The main beam death ray is often used long before the brakes are.

I was going down the M1 at about half past midnight a few years ago at the section where it is 4 lanes. There was nothing on the road ahead of me for miles except one car and yep, you guessed it - it was in lane 4!
