Anyone in North Yorkshire/Teeside with a trailer to lend? One which I had intended using today has failed to return from yesterday and we were all organised to take a rolling shell up to Newcastle. Buggeration - I'm now sitting here trying to hire something - perfect on a Bank Holiday Monday!

If you know of anything, let me know! Ta muchly.

I'm a bit further north than teeside but you welcome to one of mine.

In fact I am going to sell one of them if anyone fancy's a trailer

There's a guy nest to Strikes garden centre in Stokesley has about 12 assorted trailers including car ones. Dunno about Bank Hols but I can try to get the number if you want. Charges £40/50 per 24h plus £100 deposit but the trailers are A1.

I need a car trailer but want one for a large car about 16 ft bed and carry 1750KG?

It worked - just. A lack of winch meant using a 124 estate to shove friend's car onto the thing, which was attached to a C124 dizzler. An 11 cylinder MB sarnie. No autoshite was damaged in any of this.

Well, just a number plate holder.

Until the bloody thing did an inferior-car impersonation and kettled after a long drag. Turned out mate has a friendly mechanic who works cheap in Derbyshire - he'd left the cap loose. Fortunately the engine didn't banana and normal service was resumed after the thing had cooled and been topped up. Bit of a shock to see a Mercedes temperature needle to fly into the red. It seems that in the weeks since the water pump was replaced, the cooling system hasn't pressured. There's probably thirty gallons of water in the OM603. It did have quite a long drink,
