I've found 124 and CX seats equally comfy even after a day's driving over seven or eight hundred miles, but I'd guess the French buyer for a CX was significantly slimmer than the German buying a 124. Also, some of the base CX models had very basic seats compared with those in more expensive models, whereas the 124's seem to be similar construction across the board.

nothing beats the leather leccie seats in my XM estate. The leather on the W210 is less nice, less comfortable but still leave me refreshed at the end of 500 miles.

I don't recall any difference in seats between base CX and GTI/Pallas beyond the materials used... though I've only looked at an Athena, haven't driven one extensively. Most of mine were one notch down from the top with the houndstooth VIP interior on 4 of the 7 (GTi T2, GTi, 22TRS and Croisette), , a cloth Pallas, a TRI estate and an S1 Turbo which was probably VIP but I can't remember. Never had one with leather, though! The seats in my 300CE look very different to the MB-Tex in my old 200TE.

The ones in the Xantia V6 are nice. They have adjustable bolsters.

I've driven a base model Safari with very basic seats - no doubt the frame was the same but they were physically narrower and altogether fairly menial.

I forgot about the ZX I had ten years ago. That used to give me dreadful backache on a long trip. It could of just been a worn seat but I welded in a pair of Recaros from a Capri I had scrapped years back. I put them in several cars. Probably best seats ever I reckon

Best thing about the Ignis Sport (that's gotta be a proper AS car these days) was the combination of chuckable, revvy little car and Recaros with yellow fishnets.

306/ZX is an odd one. Tried a 306 hatch in the showroom, ordered a convertible on the strength of it, convertible seat was offset. 4 years of sitting on the bolster as a result. Had a ZX at the same time and I couldn't work out why the seats were so different given the similarities between the cars - though the ZX was basic and the 306, half leather (as was the most recent 306 I drove). Usually Citroën get 'initial comfort' bang on, but the XM seats are definitely a marvel.

Capri without Recaros, though, those are some horrid seats.

Pre - facelift Capri Mk3 yes they were terrible seats, I used to keep an old jumper rolled up behind my back to stop it aching

The later ones with the tartan seats were much better if uglier

Incidentally, those stickers on the Ignis Sport weren`t a factory thing, the dealers had to put them on. I know this as I used to do them. Hateful job, mine were always on slightly skewed or with air bubbles

Mine didn't have stickers? Were they supposed to? It had little spots of rust behind the number plate at 4 years old though. Still thought it was a fantastic thing to drive, if I'd had common sense I'd have run that into the ground instead of trading it in for a delivery-mile C6.

Have now decided to sell this car as it is

The thing I used to like best about buying a faded old car is giving the paintwork a proper cut and polish and valeting the interior, I love the transformation in such a short time

I`ve had this a year and it doesn`t look any better so its up for sale before it deteriorates any more

£1000 to any of you lot

Could deliver
