I have never bought a return ticket.

 

The last time I declined a car after a journey I was in Blackburn. I told the guy to jog on at the rail station and sat in the cafe over the road for half hour with a cuppa. I then proceeded to buy the cheapest, taxed (this was 2010) and tested car I could find for sale locally and drove that home instead. Then sold it.

I did'nt decline the car, it broke down and i had no breakdown cover  :mrgreen:  You live and learn  :?

I always bring an old car mag. I usually dig out a 1980s-90s CAR. Something to read on the train (also handy if you end up waiting for things to cool down/ recovery etc later)

 

So much the better if it features the chod you are collecting; even if the driving experience later is no longer quite what you read about in the article!
