I'd go for the pickup, nobody has paid much interest to the bmw whereas pickups seem to hold their value...

The BMW has had the most interest in PM on RR - which plays to my "Real Buyers Don't Comment" theory - but I reckon the Skoda has more swap/sell/simply piss about being stupid with it potential. It's done 175,000 miles, my only concern is that it might need engine work sooner rather than later which would coincide with finding that the rust has not stopped advancing, but then so what? I get a month moving junk around saving the cost of trailer/uplift/etc. and the scrap/parts would probably still get a couple of hundred back.

I should put some pics of the BMW here so people can see what all the fuss is about.

I think it would be a good idea, you may get a few bites as a lot of people dont frequent the blue forum.

back in the olden days when working at a previous employer they started getting pick ups as company cars, mainly nissan nivaras and a couple of mitubishi warriors, and one of those skodas. in that yellow.

one of the guys, "mad mike" had his nissan pinched, he lived in a really rough estate in stockton, so as a stop gap he took the skoda. and he loved it. it was much easier to drive and live with compared the nissan. he could get it into any car parking space, and leave it anywhere and it would still be there, as no one would touch it! he loved it so much he took it on permanently for the rest of its lease.

in time it was replaced by a honda civic. and mike missed the little truck when it went back.

so, DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!

I like those Skoda 'funs'...When they were new I thought they were really lame and pointless. They are a grower, more because manufacturers are unlikely to make anything like that now (cue host of shiters posting examples of similar available now...)...

Also, I love Hull. It's a great City, that gets a lot of undeserved shit. I also like Peterborough. Been out many times there as that's were my brother in law is from. I did spend 18 months living in Redcar (near 'The Lobster) when I was working on the steelworks. Now, that is a right dump. Lovely people though, shame all they've got going for them is a Lemon top...
