Another rare Renault.....

Its also been in the eBay thread that one. Wouldn't want that one even if it was a lot cheaper though, mods are awful - back bumper / exhaust especially. Can see it gradually getting cheaper until some Alpine owner gets it for engine and box.

Just found my own records of any known 25 turbos, and there was under 10 in 07,i knew of 11 myself and only 5 where roadworthy,i would love to get an exact figure but i think around 5-10 is right,DVLA couldn,t exactly tell me when i enquired last year.

yeah be intesting to go for a spin in that..

but these look stupid :?

Its a shame really cos a standard one would be a lovely thing to smoke about it.

Posted

It would end up like all the others being broken for GTA owners or Kit cars,as its got the Bullet proof UN1 G/box in it,the exhust looks terrible, should be left original, looks nasty and boyracer....

wang the stainless original looking exhaust and normal rear bumper and the standrad alloys, remove badging (only gets in way when polishing thee car anyway) and hey.. sleeper :P

Posted

Ohhhhh, me want!! Shame about the rust (never seen a 25 with rusty door bottoms before!!) I actually rather like the alloys!

Posted

Go for it 55,and its the same colour as yours!!,the roof rust is a bit naughty,MUST get some pics of mine on here to compare.

If only!! Will have to remain firmly in the realms of fantasy, unless he knocks a zero off the price!! Even then, I'd have no where to put the thing!

MUST get some pics of mine on here to compare.

Ok, gonna interpret that as meaning it's ok to put up some pics!! These are some that Mr v6turbo sent me a little while ogo- forgive the poor quality of the scans. Hopefully, he will be able to add some details himself?

Thanks for the pics!!!That was just after i bought it,mine has all the pump up seats etc.

Thankyou MR lobster, its been a pampered car all its life, full history, never smoked in,garaged, dry weather only etc, never paid a lot for it,but when i saw it i HAD to have it,its got all the options and i found a MINT baccara interior including the mega rare rear parcel shelf with the built in case underneath, the door cars are unique, the dump valve was fitted for a day,all standard now,my V6 safrane is exactly the same, and like the 25 is pampered,i LOVE the Turbo its lovely to drive, and she is quick, the Turbo sounds stunning, she was a lease car when new, still got the brick NEC car phone fitted...

Posted

I've said it before, but that car REALLY deserves a magazine feature.

Posted

You know what,i,am going to contact retro cars about it,NOW!!!!

Posted

Wow,

that IS impressive

Did you tint those Baccara doorboards? The ones with the wood inlay originally only came in grey and cognac colour (Baccara style). I plan to do the same with my V6 turbo but still have not found a way to tint leather without wasting it.

My V6 turbo is equipped with grey velour, including the pump-up seats.

However, I have got black leather pump-up seats for it that just need to be installed :(

I would not dare to drive around with that exhaust of the ebay car :( What a pity. And the roof is quite a strange place to rust...

That is the only picture of my car I can offer at the moment:

I don't think I ever remember seeing a 25 Turbo, what sort of power do they have?

Posted

Hi,Yes i did recolour the door trims from Grey leather to black,i bought the dye ages ago, they look mint, spot on,the power is 182BHP,but i think because my car is so late it got the 205BHP treatment.

Posted

It would indeed make a great sleeper, especially with 205 bhp 8) .The interior looks a great place to be too :)

Posted

Yes lovely car 25v6turbo 8) To be fair I do like the wheels on the Blue car, and yes put a standard exhaust and replace the bumper then it should be a nice old bus.

Posted

Cool dashboard!Love the armrests on either side of the seats.

Posted

Having seen this car in the flesh I can vouch that it certainly needs a magazine feature as it is simply stunning. It's rapid too, and everything works!

Renault TV eh? Interesting, wouldn't mind having a short film on my R4 but don't really fancy the resulting asumption that I am some sort of Frog tin licking Renault perv by all the 'many' viewers.Even though that would probably be a very correct assumption...
