Feckin ell, does it pour or do you cut slices off and drop them into the engine?

What would you use that in?

^^ Found on an Ozzie forum, where it gets pretty hot. Probably for the old BMC stuff rather than old Toyotas.

I'm currently buying Millers Classic 20w50 at £28 for 5L!

That seems a lot - I'd be tempted to use a cheap standard 15w50 or 20w50 and change it a little more often. I'm not into these 'classic' oils - I think they're a way of branding an old blend oil into a totally different price bracket. The only benefit is a lack of detergent if you've some very ancient, valuable lump. I've a friend whose old engine ran a big end by taking the recommendation of one of these specially-for-old oil suppliers. I'd used it for years without any bother using Total 15w40.

Price of crude oil has fallen out of bed ... petrol price fallen out of bed ... how come motor oil has gone up ???

Oil companies stink .

And paraffin.. just the shit stuff thats left  ,after refining petrol and diesel,  refined white spirit etc   Why has that always been nearly as much  petrol ???   Petrol price is 2/3rds  tax  too.....
