Any CA18ET experts - wiring into another car???

Recommended Posts

I have a Ford Anglia 105e that I've fitted a CA18ET engine into - I've got the car running using just the Silvia loom however I'm wanting to simplify the install - i've found some wiring diagrams from SS1 Scimiter and Datman.

However i'm not great with wiring diagrams and I soon loose my patience. Does anyone have or know of a step by step guide to simplify the install??

Any help greatly appreciated. I've taken the week off this week in the hope that i'll get this ready for an MOT.

Cheers...

I would get yourself a wiring diagram for the engine in question, then study what earths are shared etc, take time and label ever wire too - As it'll make it easier in the end.

Or you could run the engine and snip wires unknowingly, one by one.

And when it runs like crap / cuts out, you've gone too far. But this is a bit 'pikey'.

I did it with a BMW 318 motor we fitted into a Pop, just left the loom alone and hid it. The loom doesn't know what car it's in

tapped on the radiator using morse code

You only need power to the main loom and power to the fuel pump, and things like the alternator. I bet this is simple.

I agree hiding everything out of the way.
