Started this four years ago, but I'm never going to finish it. At the time I was donated a seven year old o.e chassis with some rot on the rear X-member.

 

Cut out all the rot.

 

Welded in some new steel.

 

After about two hours work with a wire brush I painted it.

 

The next day I repaired and painted the base of an ex mod body tub.

 

Fitted a new ex-mod front axle, a used serviceable rear axle, new o.e. springs, good bulkhead, windscreen, hardtop, a good 2286 diesel engine and a set of galvanised and painted wheels with new 12 ply remoulds.

 

Then life intervened and its been parked up ever since, a recent pic.

 

Some surface rust on the front of the chassis and axle, the tyres have started to crack  between the tread.

 

Will need to be dismantled, cleaned up and repainted, the engine still turns over, but after this amount of time it may need a rebuild.

 

Lots of work and expense to finish, no docs, I was going to Q plate it.
