I've managed to get this to the dungeon but I need a few bits, most importantly a water pump, and ideas if there's a supplier and would this be a Leone 1600 engine, it's an L Series!

Can you supply ALL the info you can (e.g model, year, chassis/engine number etc)Here, PM, scribbled on a beermat whateverAnd I'll ask OAPweasel, get him to have a rummage in his stockroom or something. Doubtless he'll suck through his teeth, have another tug at a manky roll up and declare that it's 'a changeover year', but worth a try.

YES! You did get it, I'm so glad. I pondered on/off getting this car for ages but decided against it on the basis that it'd cost me a fortune to get it up here and I'd not know how to fix it all anyway. However, can I STRONGLY register my interest in this vehicle if you are pondering getting rid at any point? Strongly as in I'll PM you my phone number and plead with you to write my name down on bits of paper and stick them all over the dashboard as a constant reminder to punt it my way once it becomes a driveable thing. I utterly love it and want to take it home and cherish it and marvel at all the things I don't have with it being the DL.Anyway, the model is a Leone MK3 and (if I recall) the engine in that is a 1600 pushrod, it's not like the 1800 OHC job in the Bollox wagon. I reckon it's the same engine as used in the Subaru MV pickups but that's a guess. Hope that helps?

L seires run an 1800cc in NA / FI or turbo form...I just ditched a shed load of new spares back in April when I moved, But I can put you in touch with a man that can get you any bits you want 8)

Your interest is registered! It is a remarkable thing and hopefully I shall start going through it properly over crimbo, as much as I like it it's not a keeper but I shall get it MOT'd and tax and use it a bit, that's the intention!

Cheers Pog, I'll check later and let you know!

Guys without checking the links....may I point out that the L seires has a 1.8 OHC but its a different engine to the 1.8 MV pickup or the previous model 1.6 scooby...............and a different OHC in the leggys and impezzzzas.........dont know if it helps or notedited to correct drink fueled typo.....................

The L-series 1.8s do have an OHC engine, ask Mr. Bo11ox, he did the timing belt on his.eBay makes maintaining obscure old grot easy! :D Sorry I linked to the 1.8 one, I just thought the water pump might be similar.

Bumping this back up on the basis that it is beautiful, just look at it. These saloons give me goosebumps.

Hope it's all working out anyway, has the water pump problem been cured? Maybe soon it'll look like this:

Although I reckon they're a bit young to be owning a practical yet stylish saloon.

Well I got the waterpump and went to change it on Sunday, alas two bolt heads came off so I'm now prettying it up for an MOT then I'll take it to someone who is a not a fuck wit who'll bang it on! The paintwork is cleaning up nicely though, I reckon it will be stunning in a couple of weeks, it really is a nice one! Pog, any idea if you can get a hubcap for it? I think that's all needed now!
