Not sure you can get a pre 1985 Scorpio, or 205 GTi come to that.
 
Earliest 205 GTi I have seen was a 1985 B reg

I think there were a few about on an A. £2k's worth is likely to be a POS even if you can find one ("tontops" said this, the original quote was "essdeeone").

for £2,500 in August. A GT not a GTI. admittedly (I always had time for the original "top of the range model" rather than the newer higher performance kids on the block ), and it's apparently only one of two A-reg GTs in the UK. Just clocked up 25k miles in total - it really is good .

 

£500 over budget, admittedly, but even so...
