I think on most RHD cars the wipers are the other way round.

 

I guess UK regs insisted on side repeaters earlier than some European countries, circa 1985 in the case of the Fiesta, I presume Ford didn't make wings without the hole for the 89-on mk3 because little black sqaure "Fiesta" badges were used for the first couple of years instead, on low spec models at least:
