Jolly well done Trig!  Some nice tackle there.  Predictably, it's the Fairlane for me.  The weather was really unkind yesterday, wasn't it.  I was at a show up here (threadful of photos to follow) where we had a roughly equal turnout, but the rain deterred many.  I know at least two who didn't show up because of it.  Several left early too.

That's a nice selection of retro cars, how do you discourage people in modern cars turning up?

This museum event had a age limit of pre 1995 (even though a 1998 BMW did slip through) so it wasn't too hard to Marshall, at our car meets anything goes really, we get the odd Focus RS or Fiesta ST turn up but they park at the far end of the car park whilst all the retros park the other end.

 

Luckily everybody "gets it" and there's no badge snobbery and even the age of the members ranges from mid teens to late 60's/70's, everyone just gets along.

 

Vantman we have a months meet at Shotley Marina, the next one being Tuesday 3rd June but it's a long way from Kent, I have been asked by a couple of other local museums if we can hold a show at their premises so hopeful I can arrange something for a Saturday or Sunday later in the year.
