How do places like that come to be anyway? Surely the cars can't be that bad when they go in.

They're probably not that bad when they're parked up, Imagine you have the space, cars are really cheap, the mot/tax run out and it costs the same to buy another shitter from the auction, you park the current one up and move on to the next. What's difficult to comprehend?

As for the Lada, I've agreed to buy it for £300, it'll be complete minus the crusty bits and I'll have fun driving it home...

That's ace. How long' s it been sat there? Look forward to the collection thread.

I hope it comes complete with a matching set of stomils for maximum shite points. ( and probably points from the rozzers if they see them)

New shiters day out this sunday. Meet at 11am at the green welly stop for a day of fun, ferries and rusty shite...

About a quarter of the mileage I clocked up in my last Volvo was doing that run. The current Volvo hasn't been yet, so I'll be there. I might drop in and see Uncle Jimmy on the way.

Ooo. I could do with the surviving door mouldings off that mk 4 cortina if they're intact

Posted

It was Italian Jobbed into there about 20 years ago so I can't see there being much usable. Do you mean the mouldings along the outside of the door for protection against Tesco shoppers?

We'll be leaving Dunfermline at 9am in a convoy of shite, Proton and Stanza if anyone wants to join... Think we'll be going up via Crieff, I very much doubt anyone else (From Facebook)will actually turn up.

Yep. Whatever ones survive. I've had a few ghias and there's always at least one missing so a couple of spares would be handy. They're held on by clips so should just pull off.

It wasn't a complete waste of time, there were some decent roads and we did find some rusty shite to look at...

It was a grand day out. I'd already seen the rusty shite so I was only really there for the drive, but it was still disappointing to find that it had been cleared. Plan B was a good consolation prize though.

Some footage from Sunday. Not much chod in it because my car was leading most of the time but it shows off the scenery nicely. That's the Savile residence in the thumbnail.
