My mate got a noo one for 20 quid. You could do a scrappy/eblag search.

Good luck , the 4ws was a rare beasty .Is it the mechanical one with the shaft running front to rear?

If so it even has a different floorpan to he 2ws.

You might be able to cut and solder a sensor from another honda on it the wire length / metal carriers are different. Cant remember if it uses shielded wire or not.

i wasnt sure whether u could use another sensor by soldering it on, they are £203 each from honda new

yes it is the mechanical one, the prelude had the electrical 4ws

All Hondas of that age had the same sensor resistance so just find a used one with the same sensor end and give it a try . Only 2 wires but may have braided shielding. If it has just solder it together too and try and cover the wires with it again.

Have you checked the resistance of the existing sensor? It might be OK and your problem might be a buildup of crud on the sensor tip or rust on the toothed wheel it senses.

What he said. They should be in the region of 1000 ohms but it's best to check them all and it will be obvious which one is pooped.

Also does the light come on before you move or only after 5mph ish.

If it comes on before you move it's electrical sensor failure but if it's only once you move it could be the pick up ring .

I'm pretty sure a '92 will use an evolution of the ALB system developed for the '82 Prelude, but if your pump unit is a Bosch (as it is on my 2000 model) getting a failed NSR sensor code can also be indicative of the pump electronics going kaput.

Im pretty sure it will be alb 2 with the 2nd fluid tank, pump and accumulator etc. Pump failure usually comes up with code 1 - hydraulic failure .

IIrc wheel sensors are 4 codes 4-1, 4-2 , etc etc

the front sensors have been  replaced at some point in its life and one of the rear ones have been replaced, if it needs to be taken out it may break but needs must

the 4 wheel steer has a shorter cable on it than the normal model, (which i think is above photo) it has a longer wire which goes into vehicle, not sure whether aftermarket sensor would be ok then just wired onto old adapter, but will go through the ohms check and clean up first
