Car Stereo Fault Finding Help - West Midlands

Anyone know a decent In Car Entertainment bod in the West Midlands.

 

The E38 7 series I have has an intermittent stereo fault. Sometimes there is sound, and sometimes there is not.

 

One of the previous owners has replaced the boot amplifier in the boot with another non standard item, so do not feel confident regarding fault finding/tracing. Stereo Facia always works as it should. Its just hit and miss if you get any sound.

 

Anybody know anyone they can recommend.

I think there was a few car radio shops on the Stratford Road (if you are feeling brave) but thats all I can think of at the moment. I keep meaning to get my plethora of radios decoded so I can fit them to unsuitable cars.

Is the amp running all the speakers or just the rear ones? Do you have a spare stereo you can try in it?

Far as I can tell, Amp runs everything (including the TV), its one of the BMW units, so dont have a spare one to test.
