In a similar vein, many's the Austin Princess that has died purely to yield a pair of four-pot calipers to something being souped-up.

Hmmm, I think it was terminal rust that killed most Princesses, that's why they ended up in scrapyards. I can't believe that a car would be killed for its brakes, especially back in the 80s

Austin Princesses were pretty undesirable in the late 1980s, plus the drivetrains usually gave way long before the bodywork did :D !

When I enquired about my Ritmo before it was to become mine, apparently I was the only person who wanted it for what it was rather than for it's shell for racing. Luckily the guy was waiting for somebody like me who wanted it as is. Even he only bought it to nab it's gearbox for his X1/9 but upon getting it realised it was too nice for that & wanted to find a home for it! :D

I see what you're trying to do here - combat the understeer with some power oversteer!
