The jag is one of the 60s S types. Its had a colourful life, Bought new by Hovis in England, and then at some point spending a while in either America or South Africa, then being re imported in 1991.  At some stage the original 3.4 engine was binned and a from the engine number a high compression 3.8 was put in from a presumably crashed or terminally rotten E type.

The BMW hasnt Moved for a while, gradually being covered up by the leaves in the garden. Its sorned now as im using the Sierra estate as my daily. I have yet to collect the new water pump pulley which is sitting on a shelf at Ocean BMW in Plymouth.

I binned the old seats this weekend as the replacement leather set is due when my in laws visit from Germany early next month. Basically straightforward but one nice bit of design that i hadnt noticed before; a little cable attaches to the seat base on a pulley system.

The idea being when you move the seat fore and aft the cable moves the level of the seatbelt in the B pillar. The old seats weighted a tonne but were easily swallowed up by the Sierra.

Amazing how much crap ends up under the seats you didnt know about!
