Paint question

Recommended Posts

I have invested in a set of OE vauxhall mudflaps for my 07 vectra (don't laugh), I am sick of scrubbing tar off the cars flanks.

The car is silver, the mudflaps are black and look utter shite - on a silver car they will make it look very low rent and giffer spec .

Anybody know what primer to use as I want to paint them body colour - they look like rubber or polyurethane as they can be made to flex - I have a can of plastic primer but this is only for rigid plastic and I suspect it will simply flake off.

Advice?

I think you might struggle. I have seen 'mudflaps' made of ally/cheq plate but I am unsure how lethal these might be regarded by the Plod.
