MoT query

A friend has just bought an Alfasud.

 

The front number plate is one of those stick-on decals on the bonnet, in the style of old E Types and Elans. Is this acceptable for the MoT? Thanks.

I woud say no. Should be as vertical as possible, and reflective.

technically no, but i would think a friendly tester would let it pass.

Unfortunately no He has had dozens over the years. It's nice though, just had new calipers and tyres plus refurbished wheels. Next time I'm over I'll get a couple of snaps.

What models are yours and how rusty are they?

2x 1.5Ti's mk 3's, one is a stripped but restored shell at the moment (that's taken 10 yrs so far), one is a snotty useable runner, that is (now) solid in all the right places.

 

1x 1.5Ti mk 2. Not been on the road since '97, was a complete resto project prior to that fitted with a Turbo engine. Sadly time and elements have not been kind, and it may en up giving its guts to the restored shell.
