MrRegieRitmo Posted January 26, 2008 Author Posted January 26, 2008 Really? I thought it was only Vauxhall not Bedford that had Opel equivalents!

pandamonium Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I've just aqquired this shite! A beige plastic Volvo 264GLE as featured in Volvo showrooms!
MrRegieRitmo Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 Where did you find it? Get it cheap? Keep hold of it it looks good & they go for a bit of money on eBay!http://www.fintoys.com/(click on promo cars top left)
andrewp Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 The IXO 180/2-litre is a great model, I always thought the brown one looks like, and usually is, a cheaper version, in the photos it looks like it has plastic wiper arms and non chrome wheel trims. Here's my digitally knackered one:
MrRegieRitmo Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 That's often the way! I've seen them go for 10 times more on eBay. Even my 245 in rough condition went for at least £15 I think....(it was at least 2 years ago)

Here's my digitally knackered one: How do you digitally knacker something? Looks cool though. The blue one is their proper IXO range release in the proper box & packaging so they probably did spend a little more time on it to justify the c.£20 price tag. The bronzey one which I've got was a partwork newsagent's release on the continent but it's the same casting & I'm perfectly happy with it.

MrRegieRitmo Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Oh Strictly Ice Dancing or something......why is it a given that all females have to watch reality & celebrity tv shows & have to love Westlife? It's so clichéd! Yawn!..... Do you use Photoshop like lots of people seem to? I'd love to have a play with it but I've heard it's very expensive!
pompei Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Just come across this - never heard of the Welly brand beforehttp://www.carmodel.net/zoomPage.php?Mj ... wgJzAnKQ==Looks good enough in the pic
andrewp Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Mr Ritmo, for photo editing I used photofiltre which is completely free, here's the link: http://photofiltre.free.fr/download_en.htm I gathered a few 1/43 models (cars & girls) together for a group shot this morning:
pandamonium Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Welly brand is a very cheap make. Very similar to the cars you used to be able to collect with the petrol years ago. I have a Welly VW Corrado!

Do you physically make your models decrepit (the cars not the girls) or is it all done afterwards by meddling with the image?
mk2_craig Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Females remind me of the boot-ugly old hag as recently featured on those Stagecoach Bus of Britain telly ads
pompei Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 The one peering under the bonnet is a dead ringer for Mr_B's Bratwurst swinger.
andrewp Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 The only editing done was to enhance the colour slightly. The Cedric has Porsche 928 wheels, the Capri has the wheels from the silver Lotus Europa, its rust is thick coffee paint on! The "girls" are made by Norev.
MrRegieRitmo Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 Couple of interesting ones from the Far East!http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1980S-LEYLAND-LORRY-2-TONS-IN-HONG-KONG-STYLE-RESIN_W0QQitemZ150133236249QQihZ005QQcategoryZ223QQcmdZViewItemhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/qb-CMB-DENNIS-CONDOR-NON-AIR-COND-BUS_W0QQitemZ150195493343QQihZ005QQcategoryZ56314QQcmdZViewItemand one for Baz.....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-43-ELIGOR-RENAULT-MEGANE-2006_W0QQitemZ150212306917QQihZ005QQcategoryZ91585QQcmdZViewItem
MrRegieRitmo Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 Oh and something else for Baz here. One of my friends on Facebook had this picture on his profile! Hope you like?
Mash Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Oh yes! If you buy only one model in 2008, then this is it! From the Simca collection by Ixo/Hachette/whatever - some real gems in there.

I bought mine at the weekend & I've just had a message on eBay telling me it was posted today! Yay! http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220198041642&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:FR:1123
MrRegieRitmo Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 Have you ordered one, I take it that picture's from an eBay listing? I'm finding it hard to keep up with all of these fantastic euro shite models being brought out with the partworks, I want nearly all of them!
