beko1987 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I treated the meriva to 4 new tyres last month. Went to check them today and they were all 20psi ish. Pumped them up properly then noticed air pissing out of all the valves. It stops when i put the caps on, but i think they are fucked. Is this the sort of thing that the tyre shop should fix, or am I likely to have to pay for it? Bloody annoying, invest money in the thing and it breaks! Rant over!
Pillock Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 You can go back to the tyre place - if it's a big chain, and you point out that all four tyres that they fitted are doing it, then they might sort of see the point. And it'll hardly cost them a fortune to fit four new valves. Maybe they got the work experience boy onto it or something.
Mr_Bo11ox Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 the valve cores might just need tightening up a bit, defo take it back to whoever fitted the tyres though, thats pretty lousy.
beko1987 Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Yea, it is a NATIONAL chain of TYRES fitting shops. We are in Northampton ATM at the missus's dads, so I'm going to go back to the pump when we leave, bang them up to 40psi, tear up some nappy sacks and hope that seals it. Its not gone down yet, but I'll be worried on the way home on the m40. Just tried to call them but no answer' so will call tomorrow.
