One of my favourite car chases of all time is from the movie "Pas de problème!" (1975)

 

The car chase takes place during the opening credits. It is relatively short, but superbly choreographed and very tongue in cheek. Like the rest of the film actually.

Unfortunatley (I just found out) Gaumont Pictures still has the copyrights and removed all online content.

 

Download the movie from the Pirate Bay! It's good. You'll also see Miou Miou sans clothes, but what else is new.

the one with lotus Europa, jags & transit is one of the first films I saw at the cinema.

Belman and True. Somewhat obscure Brit crime thriller with Bernard Hill and Frances Tomelty iirc. Still can't decide if the chase is shit or not, but it's attempted (old) Sweeney (not that tosh that even Winstone should not have turned out for) look should yield some chod. For plot, I remember it being sufficiently well written. Unlike The Sweeney. Which was tosh. Did I mention that film was shit?
