Old Ford engine - 204E? Advice please.

A good friend of mine has just purchased a 1950s combine to restore with twin Ford petrol engines. A quick google later and I think they are 204Es? 1700cc, pre-crossflow, 3 bearing things which went in the Consul Mk2.

Can anyone here recommend a good parts supplier, add any information etc? Thanks in advance, Kev.

What does he need? I've got about 5 in various states and some spares.

I hoard them for my ford Thames vans

211e is essentially the same engine albeit a revised version of a 204e.

Sandy glen keeps some hard to get bits for them such as rocker shafts

Water pumps are about £54 exchange

They are great engines but they do silt up a bit and need a good flush to keep them cool

Cheers Michael. Both are seized and one has been left with no plugs in - but they have done very little work and still have oil in the sumps. Should have them off and the heads removed in a couple of weeks.

Where is the engine number on them??
