More Paignton Classic Car Show pics

Didn't want to hijack the other Paignton thread so hopefully no one will mind if I start a different one with a few pics I took on Sunday. After driving all the way to Exeter last week to find the Powderham show had been cancelled, was a relief to see a sunny day and the chance to see some old cars again. Not a patch on the Powderham castle show I'm afraid, with the predictable British fare, but the sea front and crowds made for a different sort of backdrop.

Not that I don't mind some sixties British tin, especially saloons.

Always remember the smell of my Dad's two-tone blue and white Austin Cambridge, these hold a lot of appeal

And I think these are my current favourite British, love to own one

This was a bit over the stop but quite attractive

Same goes for the interior

And here are a few of the cars leaving. Always prefer pictures of cars on the road rather than in rows on a field (or, god forbid, a studio)

Nice to get the top down!

Always nice to see a Mk II Cortina that isn't a 1600E. One of my boyhood dream cars

Autofocus on the camera seemed to go a bit wrong here, not sure why

Must see this chap every show I go to, sent him some photos of his car last time I saw him

Prefer the original wheels, thank you

Bloody typical, I'm coming down that way Thursday, then North Devon Saturday. Missed it again!!

Gonna be back home for the Coombe Martin one. Arsehats.

My fave: Probably the boggo Mk2 Tina.

Nice, I do like the Mk2 Cortina, very late one isn't it.

That red Humber Sceptre has travelled a fair bit, it used to be up near me in Beverley but I do remember it was for sale a while back.

Why do modern car headlamps look so universally SH1T? One day they'll rediscover this sort of brilliance...
