2 Wheelz for 4 - Swapsies!!!!

Might just be piddling in the strong breeze but what the hell you never know.

I have an iZip elecky bike. It is a mountain bike type machine with front suspension and bouncy seat tube. It is painted in a nice metallic red and is in tidy overall condition plus it seems to work ok. A couple of the allen bolts have a bit of corrosion here and there however. It is the type that has a battery in the rear rack. It isn't getting much use and has the charger/manual, etc. Tyres are good and it has a disc brake at the front (with spare rotor).

Anyone fancy a swap for something with 4 wheels? Any hidden Dafs for example. Runner preferred. Quirkiness would be a bonus win/win.

The bike and I are in good old riot torn, drug dealing, knife-tastic North London (only 5 mins from the A10 (M25/J25).

What you need Ken is a nice FWD Triumph.

Nah, that would make 7 of the buggers. The current one is enough to deal with lol+++++.

Could you not paint one Satin Black to make it less obvious?

No that's my job thanks!

That should have read: have had 7 of the buggers. Yeah, the satin black is Andy's domain.

So, anyone fancy some electric bike happiness in their lives then? Go on, you know you want to. Just no Triumph 1300's ok (unless it's a TC of course  ).

Oh pleeze, someone help relieve the maddening itch that is an uncontrollable car related need. Surely someone, somewhere, must be in dire need of an electric bike.

I could find a home for the bike but typically have no car to swap!

Bugger. It's all a bit moot now. I charged the battery up and attempted to go out for a spin. The handlebar power indicator shows a happily charged battery but apart from a slight 'kick' when I turned the ON switch, there doesn't seem to be a lot happening. Grizzle, grizzle, grizzle.

Anyone know anything about these things?

Cheers

Joking aside did you try pedalling it first then using the electric power once you were going along about 4mph or so? I'm sure some of these are designed not to work until you're on the move at a certain speed anyhow.

Hmm, no I didn't think of that. I shall give it a proper test tomorrow and report back.

Cheers :D
