Busted lawnmower.. anybody used a helicoil?

Last week I was merrily mowing away with my petrol mower when the spark plug shot out. On inspection I found that the threads in the head had stripped and now the plug won't go back in! I may just adaldite the spark plug back into place, but I guess a helicoil or similar would be a correct repair. Has anybody used a helicoil kit before? How much of a disaster am I likely to cause?

Buy the kit, helicoils are GR19.5

Clever little things helicoils.

Never used one for the application you intend tim, but have used them on numerous occasions in high torque locations.

Shite picture shows ...

Edit:

"high torque location" - By this i mean the bolts are torque upto 280lb·ft and sometimes over, and subjected to shear stress (pulling) and none have failed as of yet.

One thing to consider though, how would you get the "tang" off the helicoil, without it falling into the head ?

(Don't suppose vaseline on the wind-in tool, could help stick the tang to the tool ... ??)

Magnetic pick up tool always works, or pop the head off.

To get the tang out id probably stand the mower on it's nose and shake the shit out of it.
