Anyone want a Merc?

Yep, the inevitable. Only this time I really don't want to sell it because I'm bored of it or can't afford to run it. Have spied a camper van I fancy and seeing as my bank (and another) LOLD IN MY FACE when I applied for a poxy (sub two large) loan, attempting to offload this is probably my only option at the moment:

 

2001 CLK320 (320CLK if you want) 'Elegance'.

11 (probably nearer 12) months MOT.

Taxed end of June.

Automatic with 'tiptronic' (or whatever it's called) option. It's actually ace fun whanging it down a couple of cogs then opening it up a bit as the power doesn't seem to stop coming and it's VERY unstressed too.

Circa 160k on it I think, will double check. It drives likes it done about 4,000 and is a right laugh and very easy to knock round in.

History stamped all the way through, next service due is about 2,000 miles away i think.

Cruise control, speed control (you can limit and change max speed) and all that sort of bollocks.

Leather interior with electric front seats, etc etc etc.

 

Economy? Crap if you're silly, sensible if you're sensible. On tick over at the lights after some fairly heavy accelerating/driving you can see an indicated 13.0mpg and on a run over the Snake Pass we saw 31.9. It's not at all hard to average 22-28mpg though.

I've had a 2.5 E46 BMW, 2.5 'X' type and 3.0 S-type Jags, and this is stacks nicer to drive and a doddle to bumble round at 30mph in.

 

Faults?

It's a 2001 Merc so expect a few rust spots.

Clock (time) and outside temp display don't work.

There's a scuff on the o/r/s inner door trim thing.
