Look at that shite parking next to it, muppets.

You can't seen how wonky the LR is in the bay, it's on a par with the number plate, at least the Renault parked straight even if they were using the line as a guide for where to put the wheels.

February 2022

Ridiculously clean Astra, especially considering the state of the roads on the day this was taken, no idea how it was so clean.

Terrible parking.  Not the first time I've seen this Galashambra parked in that spot when there's loads of empty spots.  Just absurd.

March 2022

Just a Lancia casually parked at the end of the street.  There was a JPS liveried Mk2 Capri a little while ago in a similar spot, sadly I couldn't get a picture of that at the time.  I imagine somebody likes their historic racers.  This one looked to be fully decked out with safety gear so definitely more going on than a set of stickers.

Earlier today, finally got a snapshot of this magnificent yellow beast while on a test run in the Princess after sorting out a top up on the front suspension after fixing my dalek.

Something glorious this way wafts.  Spotted on an emergency bread run, a 1951 Jaguar MkV drophead.  First time I'd ever seen one of these that I can recall, I'm more used to seeing them as a four door saloon.  The wedding industry rather spoils the impact of the colour which suited the car extremely well.  This is going to be a tough spot to beat this year.

Same car park, different day, and another magnificent white beast.  Torslanda edition too.  Quite jealous of whoever owns it as this is peak Volvo for me.

Today's spot is this Peugeot 806, a car I can't remember when I saw an example of in the wild.  What a treat.

Oh So Retro sticker in the back window, and Jack_Mk3 for Instagram by the looks of things.  Nice job, Jack, looks smart.

See this Rover about quite a bit, never seem to see it stood still long enough to pap, until today!

Got photobombed by a Ford Ka Climate.  Think these were one of those run-out models so you got special alloys, bodycoloured trim, and a zetec engine as standard, something like that at any rate.  Fordists, let me know.

Yes, the Maestro is be-tinselled now.  It's also got fairy lights inside you just can't see them in that photo.

Kicking the year off by actually getting a chance to photograph this Herald estate.  Street parked, used for business, and with how often I see it about likely daily driven too.  The missing bumper corner is a relatively recent thing,  no obvious signs of rot or damage so I imagine it's a bit of bad luck.  Hope they can get it sorted and keep on enjoying and using it.

Surprise bonus spot!  I always see this 2CV razzing about, never see it stood still, until today :D

I'm using the internet to illustrate this spot since I wasn't in a position to photograph it myself.  It's pretty rare to see a Reliant of any shape these days, so seeing an essentially pristine gold Reliant Robin of the Corsa lights era, completed with a Sid and a Doris, was pretty surprising.  It may even have been this car, but since I didn't catch the registration on the one I saw, I can't be sure.

Lost the Oldest Car game to a Super Beetle today too, but I don't mind.  I might have to ban VWs from the Oldest Car game, they always turn up when I think I've won.

I really need to get a dashcam or something in the car.  When I'm driving I can't photograph stuff and that's when I see it most often.  You'll have to use your imagination for the things I have spotted and failed to photograph recently:

Subaru Brat in red with gold wheels

Ford Sierra hatchback in metallic blue on a flatbed, looking pristine

Mk1 Vauxhall Zafira - they're finally old and rare enough that they're a surprise to see

Ford Sierra hatchback complete with family on board being used as An Car to all intents and purposes and looking like it hadn't been told the last 30 years had happened

Peugeot 106 hatchback - mind you, I do see this one semi-regularly and have papped it before

Peugeot 205 hatchback, just an ordinary old car for the driver by the looks of things but still a surprise to see in traffic

Proton Jumbuck in bright yellow just leaving as I was parking up.

There's also a Ford Sierra estate nearby that I often see on someone's driveway but because the location is a bit distinctive and Fords being what they are, I've erred on the side of caution with that one and I'll only snap it if I see it out and about.  It does move, and sometimes it's not there, so it's clearly getting used, which is a good thing.  I do wonder if the increased chod sightings are down to the expanding ULEZ, the weather, or just me being more in tune with stuff and just seeing it more often.

That's it, I win.

Pandas are red

Maestros are too

Here's something I saw

and photo'd for you.

Following it in traffic for a bit was kind of surreal since it just seems to be An Car and of course I was in the Maestro which is also An Car.  If I'm really lucky, someone who saw us will have got a snapshot and put it on the interwebs.  What a treat.

Didn't think I could top the Camry until today.  The more you look the better* it gets.

That Land Rover would be a 200 Tdi. 212,000 miles when tested last April. It's had lots of welding, but still looks in great condition. Very straight.

I checked on that Sadface Fiesta and it's a shockingly low mileage example with only one MoT failure in its life.  That was a bit of a surprise.

To kick off March, here's a modified Honda that I quite liked when picking up paint supplies for the Lanchester.  I've seen this one a fair bit, today was just the first chance I had to snap it.

It's been a while hasn't it?  I've been doing posts all over the forum, not really been updating here, so for those not in the know I moved up north from Maidstone to Scunthorpe because that's just where Fate would have me go.  Things are okay.  Pink cars are definitely a thing up here, and I'm totally okay with that.  Here's a Beetle with an appropriate plate.

More recently, found myself in a posh village parked up next to a Rover P6 V8.

Also gave me a chance to show the difference between Mk1 and Mk2 wheel trims since the Princess is sporting the facelift P6 option these days.
