a decent busy motocross forum

Dear all

Am thinking seriously, as part of my house move, and to release capital for a bigger house, of selling my motorhome. It is of a type favoured by motocrossers and bikers as it has a huge garage at the back.

Does anyone know of a decent motocross forum I could advertise it on?

It's a 2004 (November) 54 plate Merc 416cdi with 22500 miles on the clock, six berth and garage, Rimor 747TC Superbrig. Am after about £20k for it. Cost new was £44500, cost new now is £65,000.

I fank you!

I'd eBay it Campbell, motorhomes usually fetch strong money on there and AutoTrader.

I don't want to Ebay it - so I guess it'll be £15 for two weeks on the 'Trader.

I don't want to sell it but it's worth about £20k, I owe £15,700 on it and I need to pay £487 a month for another three and a half years, by which time it'll be worth £15k. Economics tell me I've had it seven years and it's time to cut my losses now it is worth more than I owe.

I can borrow an extra £40k to buy a house if it goes (not that I'm going to spend that amount extra), and save the money and in 18 months buy a £6-10k one (or a Bedford CA Dormobile again!!). Can't take the big un into London anymore, which is part of the reason for having it.

LEZ or size?

LEZ - cos it's a Euro 3 Private HGV - so it is a size issue really, 3.5 tonnes = OK, 4.6 tonnes = not OK

would it be any good for road racing?

http://www.motoforum.net is where the club racers buy wagons

it can pull two tonnes (if it had a towbar) plus a ton onboard. 157bhp without a remap means a steady 80mph is the norm if you can cope with the fuel bills.

It's not down rateable I take it?

it is but it'd have a 200kg payload not the ton and a bit I'm used to (and need).
