Renault 17s

Today I saw two Renault 17s on a scrappy's transporter in a layby on the westbound A421 near Bletchley. Sorry that I didn't have the chance to stop and get pics. I don't have details of the scrappy either so this is a pretty useless post but I just had to share it with some folks who would appreciate the rarity.

Very rare indeed I would imagine. I hope they were beyond saving and not some kind of garage/barn clearance by someone or persons who thought they were just a couple of old bangers that no-one would want!!

That's interesting because there's been an ad on Car and Classic for two 17s for a while now. Hope the owner didn't get fed up of waiting

The plate on that green Renault is familiar - we used to have JHB 20N which was a VW from Herefordshire.

 

I'm not far from Bletchley on a good day if you can give me a bit more of a clue to the location
