My Alfasud - it needs to live again

Hi all

I don't come here nearly as much as I should, especially given my interests and tastes (i.e, old shite) :)

But I have a quick question - I have a plastic bumpered Alfasud 1500 Super that I really want to get back on the road in the spring. Who are the best people to buy bits and pieces from these lovely little blighters these days?

Regards

Keith

Thanks Felly much appreciated...

Still hobbling, but getting better each day :)

Goodo, hope that helps mate, as Alfasuds are rather thin on the ground these days and seem to be grade one Autoshite. When I was a kid, a neighbour had a white mk1 4 door base model. I thought it looked the mutts nuts.

I think they've become a lot rarer since I bought mine in 2004.

It just needs pulling out of storage and recommissioning really :)

I remember a great step-by-step article in PC a few years back where someone replaced the sills on a 4-dr Alfasud, they did an absolutely cracking job.

The sound of a 'sud burbling around the Northamptonshire countryside on a sunny summer day..Just think of that Keith...

If i'd the wonga mate, I would have that Polski Rover off you in a jiffy. The SD1 has to be the best car BL ever made, shame they didn't build them properly. Really, Fiat & BL have an awful lot in common...

Sorry I missed you at the weekend Keith. Glad to see the 'Sud's in the spotlight! The AROC lot not got any ideas? Was Sud-tastic on their stand this year.

Not to worry, Ian - I wasn't much company really... was in too much pain.

But we suffer for our passions :)
