  1. Do you mean the ones that say the green bus on the side?

Since my post I found a few photos on FlickR, they're called 'Bright Bus', some were imports from HK.

  2. I have read this thread since it's start but can't remember if the the green double decker bus' that are currently doing school runs etc in Sheffield have been mentioned?

I know bugger all about buses but these look fairly shite, 20 years old perhaps(?) with an obvious respray in a light/bright green. I am guessing there's 3+ of them, have seen them operate around the Fulwood area. Just wondering if there is a story to go with them.

  3.

Finally, on the way home, a couple of Hillmans hiding in a 'showroom'.

Is that the place in Langwith/Nether Langwith? They haven't half had some cack in that showroom over the years.

  4. Update of spots, some are more recent than others.

This Astra estate has been used by one of the techs at the local Vauxhall garage for at least the past 4 years or so, wearing anything from standard 13" steels, through the Cav alloys on the front and mk2 GTE 14" alloys to 15" Corsa C fanblades.

Hey, good effort here - I spotted this going down the A1 about a month ago. Really wanted to get a moving shot but for once failed. I hadn't seen on in an age.

  5. (There's a Hyundai Stellar)

Is this parked in a parking area next to a few block of flats?

When I had my 6 months in London in 2008 I thought I spotted a Stellar parked near some flats around the Maida Vale area, possibly close to Edgware Road.

Indeed - Off Maida Vale itself, just prior to where Kilburn starts... I'll endeavour to snap it next week! :)

Great. I am glad I remembered, although somewhat annoyed I didn't stop and get a proper look and photo. Look forward to seeing it anyway.

  7. They've not been bought back by Honda or anything, I would assume that they're all enthusiast owned and they're just not looking to sell and/or passed through more specialist sites rather than Autotrader and the like. I think you can upgrade the battery, I'm sure 100mpg is possible (although possibly with said upgrade).

  8. I really like th GT86, not entirely sold on the looks of the 'UK' one but the bare spec one is awesome. It's just about the only potentially attainable car in the last 10 years I can see myself owning.

  9. Is there more or less room in a 90s Jeep Wrangler compared with a 90s SWB Defender?

    Are you considering a purchase?

No, mere curiosity. I was wondering about the size of the 'average' American and how they'd fit in a Defender compared with a Wrangler. I've been subjected to 3000 miles or so as a passenger (front and 2nd row of seats) in a Defender over the past 12 months.

  10. I had one on my 'to buy' list for a while. Went to look a couple and upon closer look (and passenger ride) I decided they weren't for me. The looks that I liked from a distance seemed to get a bit awkward close up and the interior was a bit of a disappointment. My ride, while at a good pace, left me feeling like it was a bit boat-esque. Yes the car probably had worn dampers and the like but I'd decided it wasn't going to live up to my handling standards.

However, they're a good buy for a quick coupe. You wont get much more performance (in a straightline) for your money and if you like the looks then I'd say go for it. Yes there's faults already picked up in this thread but if you like them enough you may regret doing it while you still can.
