Despite liking it in a lot of respects, I'm not feeling the love for this yet and in hindsight should've lobbed money at the Sierra instead.

MoT is until August 2014 and taxed until November

Price: £400

70k miles and in good nick despite rot on the arches and a few bits of surface rust in other places.    For what I paid it should have been mint (hence why price above isn't bargaineous) but that'll teach me to take a seller at their word

As mentioned in News 24 the engine is clattery although quieter when warm, and I'll do an oil flush and change this weekend to see if that helps.

If it doesn't sell on here then I'll just give it to my Dad to use and put more effort into selling the Vitesse.

Nice.  Ours is a bit clattery on startup when it's due/overdue an oil and filter change - worth a try?

Oh Rob - I like that - its a bit too 90s for my collection but still like - will hunt out your other threads/pics of it!!

I am in London as well next week - although need to get back quickly rather than under shite power!!! Maybe next time!

Looks nice that. Is it the DOHC 125bhp engine? If so I will upgrade it from nice to WELL NICE

I'd love to have it myself and drive it back to Diss and pop up the obligatory 'sold here when new' picture....GLWTS.

Oil looks clean but yes will change it anyway, although after a brief look I'm buggered if I can find the oil filter. And yes Mr B it's the DOHC one so is nippy around town. On the motorway it's doing 3500rpm just above 60 so can sound a bit strained!

Wow thats interesting, my 220 was doing about 80 at that engine speed! Didn't realise these were so low geared. I imagine they are pretty good for burning off dawdlers.

Oh yes it's good at that    The Vitesse is also quite low geared  considering it's cc-age, not sure if that's a feature of Honda engines or something.

If your old 220 was eligible for classic insurance I would've bought that first time around and probably kept it FOREVAH.
