I know it's a car forum, but I also know some of us like planes, so does anyone know of any good aviation fairs where one can buy old postcards and brochures?

I know of Gatwick, Kempton Park and Luton but are there any others?

Any of the big airshows will normally have lots of stalls full of aviation goodies i.e. models, kits, books, postcards etc. I went to Duxford last July and was like a kid in a toyshop, bought two metal models. If you're anywhere near West London there's a brilliant Aviation Hobby Shop in West Drayton which will have just what you like.

it's not to buy - it's to sell - I have about 1,000 aviation postcards from the 1900s all the way up to the 1960s. Everything from pioneer stuff to airships, balloons, autogyros, helicopters, prop planes, jets and space stuff.

You've got the three main ones - Luton & Kempton Park are held twice a year; Gatwick is in April. There's also one at Shoreham - usually focuses more on bits of mangled wreckage from crashed WW2 planes. Next one is in October.

I did Gatwick - it was quite good, but I've bought quite a few new ones since then.

Didn't know about Shoreham - and have noted Croydon for next January.

Sounds silly as I was in Shoreham on Sunday at a postcard fair there.
