You have some good pictures there.

I hope the event was a success; I have a lot of admiration for the hospice (St Rocco's) near to me. They were excellent in every way with my father a couple of years ago, in absolute contrast to the NHS.

Thanks It was a good turnout, considering the crappy weather. It's one of my favourite shows, and one that my wife likes too because there's so much else there (stalls etc., food, games).

Regarding the red Fiesta:

 

 

I had a long chat with the owner, who was there with his whole family crammed into it! He said hi after I'd taken the photo and asked about my interest in Fiestas. I explained that my parents had had a couple when I was very small before moving onto Escorts, and early 80s Fords were close to my heart. It was a 957cc L, and he explained that it was a rolling restoration project. He'd just fetched and fitted a new rear screen the day before, and was on the lookout for front wings and a front crossmember on eBay. I think he would fit in well here (he owns or has owned a Sceptre and a Rover P6 among other things), liked mainly British/Ford tin, and echoed sentiments on here about most moderns looking the same and that these old busses were so much easier to work on etc. But I phailed to mention Autoshite to him and I forgot to mention that there was an ongoing resto of a similar Fiesta on here ... Anyway, it was really nice to see this amongst all the pampered, polished "usual fare". The other Fiesta was simply stunning, also an L, only one previous owner. Lovely. Good to see a boggo Escort too, and a Capri 1600 auto
