pompei Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Has anyone used any of those sound deadening products? The Fiat 500 is horrendously noisy ("sports" exhaust doesn't help) and the dizzle Saab only marginally less so. I think Dynamat just lessens panel vibration but doesn't seem to provide a sound muffle as such. Any tips gratefully received. (as the circumciser once said)
DavidB Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 That Dynamat is 'similar' to that roof flashing water proofing stuff. I used it on doors to make them shut a bit more 'expensiver' as it stops vibration. Modern cars are lined with some fabric'y carpet'y stuff on the outside which does make a huge difference reducing noise. Think the 500 noise is part of the charm, I had it on the SC100 and it was just there, I lived with it.
