Oh the wonders of as proper coachworker!

You may recall my ongoing fight with Saga insurance - me armed on my side with laptop, phone and pen - them with zimmer frame, tartan blanket and sweet sherry....I watched my claim dry up as the hordes of grannies closed ranks on me!

The incident in question was when a member of the bowling club based next door to me backed his BMW 7 series into the nearside rear corner of my Leyland Autosleeper - exposing the chicken wire, newspaper and polyfilla that constitutes most of the rear quarter.

finally saga insurance played ball and the van went in last Monday to be repaired.

JRM Coachworks of Edinburgh delt with the repair and what an excellent job they have done - the repair is as good as new with all the nasty rusty bits cut out, new metal leached in , lead loading and the whole area seemlessly resprayed - you can't tell it has been done - they also seem to have replace and welded in a new wheel arch. The bumper, which wasn't avaliable, has been completely restored -they stripped it back to metal and welded in new sections and mouting brackets and painted all - now looks brand new

the cost to saga was around £850

now all I need is to find someone to drive into the back of the other corner!
