Peugeot 604 sill or cill cover pics

Some pics for Pete

These are all the outer covers (not inner as stated in the second pic), and my 604 they are screwed on rather than welded.

I think that this is because the 604 was a "widened" 504 and therefore it already has two 504 inner sills making a box section.

Invoice and section drawing from previous owner:-

I think that the left bit is actually the top of the cover and the right bit the bottom, so rotate 90 degrees

The screws that fix the bottom of the cover

The screws (I think) that fix the top of the cover

hmm, or maybe they just hold the trim on and the actually cover screws are inside the trim going sideways into the body

This is a 1976 car, I can't guarantee later ones are the same

Cheers Phil. I'm off on a mission to go and see it tomorrow.

Not taking the Jag, I'm off in a Skoda Superb, so that should save me about £50 in fuel.

Hmm, this could be an interesting and expensive day.

Anyone know any decent welders in the Diss area?

Millhouse Garage in New Buckenham are pretty good, but very busy. Just out the village on the Norwich-bound road. You'll pass the Reliant place (the one I STILL haven't posted photos of yet). Shame I've just left UK again - you could have stopped by for a coffee. Besthorpe MOT place OK in emergencies, but most of their stuff is farmer spec.

You could always try the Citroen specialist in Wortham. They will be used to French metal.

Splendid, thanks Tom. This looks like it might be a goer again...
