Billy, try adding a female friend on as a named driver. If the Mrs doesn't drive try someone else.. neighbour mum e.t.c. Always seems to help!

Oddly enough talking about insurance claims I've been struggling like hell to hire a mini-bus recently, lots of places that use to hire them don't do them anymore. I mentioned this to the garage my son works at as they have a sheddy looking old LDV400 nine seater for hire and the fella that takes the bookings said it's most firms stopped doing them or want huge cash deposits due to the inordinate amount of people hiring them then 'mysteriously' crashing into walls injuring all fifteen occupants

^ Most rental insurers won't cover minibuses now for that very reason.

 

Also, because you need a Section 19 permit (IIRC) for a lot of organisations when using a bus, it became more hassle than its worth for a lot of rental companies so they stopped doing them.
