Unobtainable Shite

OK this is a real oddity.

I know that it's not a car, but it is certainly auto-shite.

I remember this being in the motoring press at the end of 2007,

because I made a note of the phone number & thought, when I had

a spare £25, I'd give them a bell.

It was about a year ago that I phoned, the number doesn't answer,

the e-mail is unanswered.

No-one seems to know anything about it.

Vauxhall had not heard of it until I contacted them.

Vauxhall forums chuckle & it drops off the board.

 

Please don't get me wrong I don't have an Astra, It's for my VW Camper.

 

Help please, I need one of these to tell me if it's sunny.

Not got a helpful suggestion but I like the idea of a thing on the dashboard telling you when its 'safe' to put the roof down.

 

I'd buy them for a couple of friends who hardly seem to use their cars with the roof down.

On the point of the barometer, I used to sell vauxhalls until a year ago - I've never heard of it!

Go for the Autoshite option, use No More Nails to attach a tatty old wall barometer to the dashboard.

Or even better - a souvenir one from a grotty holiday resort.

 

Or a pound shop.

A huge improvement over the original...not available in shops...only from a seedy market trader called Geoff who does the occasional knock-off laptops on the side.
