I need to find a Tan toyota Corolla ( 96-98 model) for a reconstruction we're going to be filming in October - do you know of anywhere in London I could find one?

Anybody out there with a tan coloured late 90s Corolla? Not spoken to Sally yet, so no idea what's required of the car.

Simply pop down to the west end late on a friday or saturday night.

You're bound to find one complete with west african driver (with no sense of direction, no concept of speed or distance, and a pocketfull of rohypnol). MINICAB!

 

Actually, is it for a 'reconstruction' of an illegal mincab rape abuction? You'd probably not end up with a replica...

Good point never thought if that Not too sure of the tan bit though, was it a common colour?

Right, getting complicated now, apparently this car will have to match one being filmed in the USA! Tan is not tan as we know it, it's more of a metallic champagne/beige.

Are USA-spec and European market Toyotas generally totally different animals (aside from the Camry, Paseo and the big 4x4's)??

I have seen similar cars in the UK but I think there are trim differences. Hatchbacks are much more popular.

Forgot to mention, it will be a RHD car they want, as the scene is set in the UK. But you are right about the USA spec, not really easy to pretend it's the same as the UK spec!

If the scene is set in the UK, shouldn't the US car be a UK car rather than the other way about?

I think it's more of an issue of what they can get there, and the likelyhood of it matching what we have here. I suppose they will stick it next to a few red phone boxes, bobbies on bikes and Buckingham Palace, job done......
