autopaul Posted May 28 Author Posted May 28 The fresh MOT must have excited the french pram, driving home from work this morning " maybe a little too enthusiasticly" and it dropped into limp mode and firing on 3. Thankfully not much traffic as getting up hady hill was completed at 17mph I'd already ordered a set of plugs and coil pack, but after a few tests with the otofix injector 3 has apparently shat itself. £18 for a new injector and hopefully it'll be happy again by the weekend. autopaul Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Well this thing got pushed down the side of the house at the end of may and forgotten about. Many weekends away over summer and the child still not getting his provisional license sorted meant enthusiasm had fucked off out of the window. Last week if figured I better move it, had the battery charger on standby, but the bloody thing fired straight up from it's 4 month slumber!!! Sadly cylinder 3 hasn't remembered to join the other 4, cylinder 1 decided to leave the chat shortly after giving it a few revs! Awesome. I wedged a breaker bar on the throttle pedal and set about wiggling wiring about under the bonnet. Low and behold 3 and 4 entered the chat briefly. Found the injector harness connector block had some water in there, dried that and cleaned the connectors. Fired it back up and hurray firing on all 4. In the excitement I took the chance to whip it around the block. 2 flat tyres and rusty brake, but off she went. 1 mile down the road and bing... Cylinder 3 left the chat again. Back to wiggling wires this time we find some water in the ECU connector block. Dried out, cleaned up and boom back on all 4. Tyres pumped up, noticed the Michelin on the front is 2005 date stamped! But alas it drive 3 miles without missing a bear. So back under the bonnet and resecured all the wiring and tried to add some water protection. In the excitement I went on eBay and found a back light unit for 63quid!! Bargain. Just the wheel bearing to swap out and a radio to sort. £14 later a Amazon special radio on its way, connected straight up and working like a dream. Just swapped the wheel bearing over and had another ride down the road, and it's now almost a pleasure to drive! I'll get some updated pics up over the weekend. Hopefully I can find some 4x108 steelies or alloys this weekend and all the sketchy things will be fixed. beko1987, richardmorris, High Jetter and 8 others 11

aldo135 Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I’ve just been looking at holiday photos so I can post some of the cars I seen, and by fluke I’ve caught a reflection of a pluriel! This was in Volvic, a camping stop on the way to Salou. I’d like to pretend I was being arty and did this on purpose but didn’t notice at the time 🙈. Good work getting this one going again 🙂 FakeConcern, richardmorris, mk2_craig and 2 others 5
autopaul Posted October 12 Author Posted October 12 I like that in lime green! It also goes wonderfully with the frame work on that shop aldo135 1
MVX11V Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I worked for Citroen whe n these came out and they were terrible then, well done. I tried to find an image of the official* roof bar stand but after many seconds googling, failed. It's basically a vertical bit of box section with two hooks up top, painted black and a Citroen sticker on it. you'd likely find one in any Citroen dealership, covered in dust on that bit above the office that no one can access. motorpunk 1

But at least it doesn't have a puretech in there. I'm sick of putting new engines in what are practically new Corsa mokkas, c3s c4s ds3s 208s 2008s........ richardmorris 1
autopaul Posted October 17 Author Posted October 17 I managed to quickly polish the headlights last night. I forgot to take the obligatory before picture, but did remember to take one when I'd done one light And both done Not bad for 5 mins, a mini polisher and some 3m fastcut. I'll wax them for winter, then have a proper go at them come spring. When I'll probably machine polish the whole turd. Just need some alloys, preferably with tyres already fitted, so I can get rid of the 05, 13, 13 and 21 stamped tyres. The 20 year old Michelin worries me slightly. stuboy, aldo135, FakeConcern and 3 others 6
