Sold my MR2 via EBay - no problems!

I advertised my MR2 on here, on RetroRides and a few other forums, for £1,650 without my big stereo - nothing.

Stuck it on AutoTrader for two weeks, the same deal - nothing.

Put it on EBay with no reserve and a note that I will remove the stereo if the car sells for less than £1,250.

The bidding went up to £1,080 but the winning bidder said he'll pay the extra money and take the car as is.

He collected this morning, saw what he liked, paid in full without making a fuss, just how EBay transactions should be.

I wonder how long it will be before I start to miss it...

Shouldn't this be in AS News 24? Got to be a one off, have to say. Still good for you!

If you're selling something a bit more specialised that will appeal more to an enthusiast as is the case here then I don't think you'll get as many problems.

Its the people buying a £300 relatively mainstream car that they expect years of trouble free service from that seem to be more problematic.

Edited for accuracy.
