It's five weeks since the "catastrophic chain of events".MrsDs Korando is finally back on the road.Accident repairs cost £380 for S/H bumper in correct colour, rear light and packet of trim clips.Probably less than an hours work to fit.Had to wait for clutch guy to get the parts.Clutch kit was easy enough, problem was the DMF which was on back order.Had to get car taken on a transporter which cost another £70.Because it's now got a Cat N marker, the insurance wanted it reMOTing, which I got done on Saturday morning and MrsD got her insurance reinstated until March. So it's cost us a grand total of £2962.Will probably get the wheel alignment checked as well, because the steering wheel is slightly off centre and think the front subframe was moved, along  with a lot of suspension during the clutch change. The insurance valued the car at £3732,less the £300 excess,so we're slightly up on the deal and hoping to get the excess refunded. While it was out of action,MrsD used the Rexton and I used the Renault 25.Car seems all ok now.Similar ones seem to be up for sale for between £4 and 5k.The prospect of buying something for that sort of money fills me with the fear,so hopefully sticking with the devil we know and all that..
