French future shite Peugeot 607

I think I fared much better in my 607 through the snow and ice this winter that a RWD car would have done.

As always you can't just say that one is better than the other. It depends on the circumstances.

On the M25 it makes absolutely no difference.

Also I suspect that the 607 HDI automatic doesn't have enough power for it to matter either.

Tyre pressure sensors seem to leak as they get old. It's not the sensor itself but the rubber sealing washer. If you try to remove the sensor to change the washer it usually destroys the sensor. Sensors are now only £25 each new though so not such a big deal. You need some heavy duty dealer diagnostic equipment to program in the new sensors though (which I have).

My dad's old 407SW did the same with one of the back ones, it was replaced during a service. One of the other sensors convinced itself that one of the tyres was flat too, when it wasn't.

 

Nice 607 though, I always wish he'd gone and got one of those instead of deciding he suddenly wants an estate. They're a handsome thing.

the 407 also seems cramped inside compared with my 607

The 407 interior feels very cramped for what it is, I suspect it is down to how thick the doors are.
