Evening Hive Mind,

Has anyone any experience getting older radio head units repairs / refurbished?

I have a 740GLE with the original Volvo CR-702 radio head unit.

The radio part works just fine but the casette deck isn't - the speed and wow / flutter is all over the place and depending which way the tape is reversed, it only plays out of one speaker.

I could, and do, just use a bluetooth FM transmitter but I'd like to be able to use my old tapes too.

It will be the drive belt within the unit that has perished. My friend Simon is about to redo the one out of my Lancia so will be ordering a bag of assorted belts. I can ask him if he will take a look at it when I return from France if you like? He is based in Arbroath.
