MAZDA ROADPACER

Posted Image

HOLDEN PREMIER

Mazda had a 13B rotary. Holden 3.3 six or 5L V8. Car was a bit to heavy for the rotary and it used more gas than V8.

I'm a mine of useless information

Anyone know how to resize these photos ? apart from editing in the camera a I did for the Bristol shot these are how they come out. Very happy about the quality though ! Does it cause this site any problems ! Photos downloaded into fuji's (camera) album, then into photobucket, then to this forum.

The size is OK! Its not like we can only see a 1/4 of the pic at a time. You could resize them before uploading but I wouldnt worry about it.

We used to snigger at the Rootes and BMC badge engineering. But the Japanese seem to have done it on a VAST scaleAlso just noticed the XM is diesel powered (it has a diesel tax sticker on the windscreen)

HASTINGS ABOUT 1976

Posted Image

AND A LANCER I SAW THE OTHER DAY

Posted Image

ON HOLIDAY WITH ME MATES IN MUMS HERALD ABOUT 1964 . I HAD MY FIRST BIG ACCIDENT IN THAT CAR

REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT..WAS THEN HIT BY A MINI COMING THE OTHER WAY..THEN INTO A TREE..IT WAS REPAIRED AND LASTED

UNTIL REPLACED BY A NEW ONE IN 1970 (BUT THE BONNET NEVER FITTED PROPERLY AGAIN). I REMEMBER SHE CARRIED A HAMMER TO GET IT INTO REVERSE TOWARDS

THE END..I THINK NOW THAT THE CHASSIS WAS A BIT BENT !

Posted Image

spottedlaurel...the c34 was an acquired taste . they grew on ya!

Posted

SAW AN UNUSUAL CAR TODAY . A VOLVO 7 OR 9 STRETCHED. JUST A LONGER REAR DOOR,NOT A FULL LIMO. I COULDNT TAKE A PHOTO

HASTINGS ABOUT 1976

Posted Image

In the midst of the long hot summer by the look of it! 8)

I don't think that cable car thing is still there is it? What is at the top level do you know? When I go to Hastings I'm always fascinated by those tall wooden huts, always wondered what they're for! I assume they're just fishermans shacks to store rods & things, unless somebody knows differently? As they're usually surrounded by beached fishing boats. It's like some kind of tiny wooden village for primitive beach dwelling folk!

Loving the yellow Simca 1100 VF2 of course! :D

young lads wath their autoshite in 1960 .the owner is underneath 1929 ESSEX. Compare that to a 30yo car today!

Posted Image

he later went on to manufacture the following cars,HERON MJ1

Posted Image

him flanked by two customers and their cars (MJ1 and MJ2)

Posted Image

they were mid -engined and I think FIAT powered

Posted

Influenced by BMW M1s & Lotus Esprits perchance?

Posted

Did a quick check on the Heron . Yep fiat twin cam mechanicals as standard and add on what you want.E.G. turbo.I think an Esprit was very close by when the mouldings were made :D
